State Mufti receives visit from Malaysian Federal Territories counterpart

STATE Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned received a courtesy call yesterday from Sahibus Samahah Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, Mufti of the Federal Territories (Malaysia).

The meeting was held at the State Mufti’s Office of Darulifta in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Sahibus Samahah Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri was accompanied by his wife Datin Dr Shereen bin Muhamad Yunoos; Deputy Mufti of Federal Territories (Malaysia), Haji Hashim bin Salleh; and two officers from the Federal Territories Mufti Department, Malaysia.

Sahibus Samahah Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, his wife and the rest of the delegation were welcomed by senior officers from the State Mufti’s Office. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain @ Maidin, the Deputy State Mufti.

During the meeting, the two religious figures held discussions on Fatwa and Islamic affairs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the State Mufti presented the latest book published by the State Mufti’s Office of Brunei to Sahibus Samahah Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri. The State Mufti also received a book published by the Malaysia Federal Territories Mufti Department.

The Mufti of the Federal Territories (Malaysia) is in the country as a guest panellist for the three-day Knowledge Convention 2017 held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
