BRUNEI Halal yesterday received a youth delegation from the Republic of Korea at its head office in Kampong Mata-Mata in Gadong.
The visitors, who are in Brunei as part of a bilateral youth exchange programme between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea, were given a briefing by Brunei Halal Business Development and Operations Manager Suserena binti Haji Hashim.
During their stay in the country, the group made scheduled visits to Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan, the Youth Development Centre, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Malay Technology Museum, Brunei Darussalm Maritime Museum, Royal Regalia Building, Sports Gallery, International School Brunei, DARe (Darussalam Enterprise), as well as explored firsthand the activities and fun events taking place at Bandarku Ceria.
The Korean youth also got to enjoy a two-day stay with foster families in a homestay programme and experienced Brunei’s culture and customs.
The bilateral youth exchange programme which runs for 10 days until November 9 was incepted after the penning of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Republic of Korea and Brunei Darussalam in 2009.
