DARUSSALAM Holdings Sendirian Berhad (DHSB), Brunei’s leading Haj and Umrah operator, yesterday held a briefing for the first two groups that will be performing the Umrah this November – after the 1438 Hijrah/2017 Haj season.
During the briefing at Mahligai Hall of The Airport Mall, the intending pilgrims were told what to expect and their arrangements for the journey.
DHSB Haj and Umrah Department Head Pengiran Haji Ibarahim bin Pengiran Haji Bakar delivered the briefing, while a lecture on appreciating the Umrah was delivered by Ustaz Haji Adi Aismat bin Haji Lamat, who explained the Umrah methods and reminded pilgrims of the benefit and blessings bestowed upon them in performing Umrah.
The Umrah visa is typically issued during the month of Safar in the Islamic calendar, which coincides with Brunei’s long school holidays.
The two groups are scheduled to depart tomorrow and on November 28. Over 800 pilgrims will depart in December.
DHSB announced that the schedule for next year’s Umrah packages has been released and seats are available for those interested to join.
For Islamic tourism packages, DHSB will be sending off groups to Turkey, Japan, Korea and China this December.
