HER Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah alongside 60 International School Brunei (ISB) Years 4, 5 and 6 students yesterday represented the school at the Brunei Junior Sports League (BJSL) Track and Field competition at the Tutong Sports Complex.
The participating schools comprising Jerudong International School, ISB, Panaga School and Hornbill School took part in events ranging from 800 metres, 600 metres, 60 metres, and 4×100 metre relay on track as well as Discuss, Shot Put, Ball Push, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Tee-ball throw.
Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim was a standout participant, winning 2nd place in the 60 metre sprint as well as being part of the 2nd place winning team for the 4×100 metre relay. He also participated in the Long Jump and Tee Ball Throw.
Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah competed in the 4×100 metre relay and Triple Jump.
According to ISB PE Teacher Grant Macpherson, “The Brunei Junior Sports League is comprised of tournaments across the sports of Athletics, Football, Swimming, Tag Rugby and Netball and is a much needed source of competitive, inter-school sport for young kids in Brunei.”
