THE Kuala Belaitku (KBku) Ceria programme continues to surprise Belait residents, with yesterday’s event offering visitors more options and fun-filled activities, which were held at the Silver Jubilee Park, down Jalan Carey and at the beach behind the park.
Organised monthly to promote healthy living, the programme was held previously along Jalan Sungai, where sections of the road would be cordoned off for the public to roam freely without the hassle of traffic.
Eighty street hawkers lined the road offering an array of products and services to the public. At the beach, visitors enjoyed some fun in the sun riding ATVs and jet skis, playing beach soccer and getting their hands dirty in a sand castle-making contest.
The events and activities continued well into the afternoon, further enlivening the atmosphere – especially for students who have just started their school term break.
The KBku Ceria will be held from December 22 – 24 along Jalan Sungai as part of the Brunei December Festival.
