DOZENS of passionate Liverpool Football Club (LFC) supporters attended an event organised by the Brunei LFC Supporters Management Team to mark the 125th year of establishment of the Liverpool Football Club (LFC) at the BZY Restaurant in Jerudong last night.
With the Liverpool themed attire, a sea of red home jerseys was in full view while the supporters were also kept entertained with the playing of the famous rendition of ‘You Never Walk Alone’.
The main highlight of the event was a cake-cutting whereby the colourful cake signified four different crests of Liverpool Football Club.
Zool Addy, the chairman of the event, expressed gratitude to the Liverpool Football Club community in Brunei for attending the event.
He said that there are those who have been supporting the club for 40 years and some watched a game in LFC’s home ground, Anfield.
“We assembled here today mainly because we are supporters of the club. What made it more touching is there are amongst us who have been supporting Liverpool Football Club for the last 40 years,” Zool Addy said.
Zool shared plans of embarking a ‘Road to Anfield’ programme to enable supporters the chance to fulfil a dream to go to the stadium in 2019.
