MORE than 10,000 people have so far visited the ‘Pameran Cinta dan Kenali Rasulullah SAW’ currently being staged at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, said the exhibition organiser Avertu Management Services in a recent statement.

The statement added that the exhibition visitors comprised not only citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam, but also foreign visitors from Sabah and Sarawak who journeyed all the way to the Sultanate just to catch a glimpse of the rare exhibits.

The organiser has invited students from the country’s various educational institutions to come and visit the exhibition which is showcasing numerous artefacts and treasures of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions, including the ‘Kiswah Pintu Kaabah’.

Besides the exhibition, various special lectures are also conducted throughout the event. These lectures are run to allow visitors to understand and learn more about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Other religious activities will also be held, such as the Al-Fatihah Clinic, ‘Malam Mahabah Rasulullah SAW’ and Muslimah Series.

In observance of proper Adab (etiquette) at the exhibition hall, all visitors are required to remove their shoes prior to entering the area and adhere to a modest dress code. Female visitors are advised to wear loose clothing, long sleeves, headscarves and socks, while male visitors are expected to avoid wearing short pants and shirts with inappropriate images or text.

For the convenience of all visitors, headscarves and robes will also be provided outside the hall.

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2017 with support from the Youth and Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.  The three-week exhibition, which began in December 2017 will end on January 13, 2018. It is open from 9am to 10pm.
