TEAM Pancha Delima emerged champion of the National Regu Takraw Championship for Yayasan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy organised in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
The competition, held yesterday afternoon at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Menglait Sports Complex, was organised by Brunei Darussalam Takraw Association (PESTABARU) in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Pancha Delima was named Champion of the tournament after defeating defending champion Team 88 A with the score of 2-0 (21-18, 21-14) in the final.
Joint third place went to Royal Brunei Police Sports Council (MS PDB) A and MS PDB C.
Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny presented the prizes to the winners of the tournament.
