HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday morning received in audience newly appointed ambassadors of Brunei Darussalam and in separate audiences the newly appointed envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
His Royal Highness first received in audience Pengiran Haji Mustapa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Arab Republic of Egypt; Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the United Arab Emirates; Haji Ahmad bin Haji Jumat, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Stae of Kuwait; and Mohd Shafiee bin Haji Mohd Kassim, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Turkey.
Pengiran Haji Mustapa formerly held the post of Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the State of Kuwait.
Haji Harun was previously Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Haji Ahmad formerly held the post of Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Meanwhile, Mohd Shafiee was previously Acting Director of the Department of International Organisations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The newly-appointed ambassadors of Brunei Darussalam received their Letters of Credence from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on January 18.
His Royal Highness then received in separate audiences the newly appointed envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
His Royal Highness first received Caterina Ventura, High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam. She formerly held the post of Senior Advisor to the Partnerships for Development Innovation Branch of Global Affairs, Canada.
His Royal Highness then received Christian Ramage, Ambassador of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam. He previously served as Head of Diplomatic Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France.
The newly appointed envoys to Brunei Darussalam presented their Letters of Credence to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on January 18.
The ceremony took place at Qashr Al-Meezaan.
