THE Haematology Unit (Cancer Ward) at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday received a cash donation from the spouse of the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam, Dr Tahmina Begum.

On hand to receive the donation was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RIPAS Hospital, Haji Muhd Jamal bin Haji Tersad, who then handed over the donation to Head of Haematology Unit, Dr Hajah Noorainun binti Haji Mohd Yusof.

The donation was raised during the public ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ campaign that was organised in October last year held at the residence of the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam. At the event, Dr Tahmina Begum and Dr Shyja, a radiologist from Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC), delivered their presentations.

The spouses of heads of missions and diplomats and women of the Bangladeshi community made donations to the charitable drive.
