A CEREMONY took place yesterday at Fitness Zone in Kiulap to present prizes to 49 winners of the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata She Runs Quiz. The contest was organised by Brunei Press, the publisher for both newspapers, and received 2,200 entries. The contest was sponsored by Fitness Zone, Royal Brunei Airlines, Bake Culture, The Energy Kitchen, WoMen Hair, Tanita and BMW.
Present to present the prizes were Reggie See, General Manager of Brunei Press; Wu Chun, Managing Director of Fitness Zone; and Siti Salwa binti Haji Mustapa, Marketing Manager of BMW Brunei.
Wu Chun said, “We were surprised at the huge amount of entries received. Through this quiz, we were able to know the number of people who supported the event (She Runs) and today’s prize presentation ceremony was a good ending for She Runs. She Runs raised about $55,000 last year and this year’s amount is expected to be higher,” he said. “We will reveal the amount of proceeds at the appreciation ceremony that will be held soon where we will hand over the donation to the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) and Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam (SOBD).”

In the quiz, Hazirah binti Haji Awang Hamdan won a return air ticket to Kota Kinabalu and a voucher from WoMen Hair salon.
Five second prize winners walked away with a Tanita weighing scale and two-week membership vouchers for Fitness Zone. Three third prize winners won a low carbohydrate meal from The Energy Kitchen and a birthday cake from Bake Culture. Twenty winners got exclusive BMW merchandise and another 20 winners received exclusive Brunei Press merchandise.
