Two sessions of the SPN21 Stakeholder Re-Engagement with Private Education Institutions were conducted in 2017. The first session was with Cluster 1 school leaders and teachers, while the second session was for Clusters 2, 3 and 4.
Yesterday’s event was the third session, and was held for school leaders and teachers of Clusters 5 and 6, comprising 19 primary and secondary schools in the Tutong and Belait districts.
The press release notes that the aim of the session was to share updates on the ongoing progress in the Way Forward for SPN21 and to ensure active engagement between MoE and its stakeholders at various levels including private schools and education institutions.
By the end of the session, the participants are expected to have a shared understanding on SPN21 and the role of SPN21 as a platform to implement and achieve goals of Vision 2035.

“The objective of this briefing is to connect with private education institutions, to identify and update the current information with regards to the implementation of SPN21 in their teaching and learning in schools as aligned with the national curriculum in Brunei Vision 2035.”
“It is hoped that at the end of this session, the school leaders and teachers of private education institutions are able to adapt and strengthen understanding of the initiatives included in the components of the implementation of SPN21,” she added.
