PSJD looked set to miss seven first-team players for their crucial game against Mulu FC in the Coneli Veteran League 2017/18 at the Miri City Council Field tomorrow due to commitments in the President 2 of the DST National Veteran Football League.

The Brunei-based outfit currently lie second in the table and must beat Mulu to continue pile the pressure on league leaders Landas, who are top three points clear at the summit.

PSJD won 4-0 against Cbuti Old Starz last weekend which helped them with their goal difference – now equal with Landas – despite top scorer Haji Annuar Haji Seidil not available.

“Even though our top scorer was not in action when we played against Cbuti Oldstarz, we were still able to breach their goal,” said PSJD team manager Nordin Tujoh.

“There are no injuries. But I’m worried that seven main players will not be in action against Mulu this Sunday as a number of them will be playing in the veteran league in Brunei,” added Nordin.

“In terms of fitness, there are no concerns because all players can play the whole 60 minutes.”

He added that they have to work hard to win with his side three points behind Landas even though they will be missing key players.

“For now we have no changes with our strategy and we will do as normal.”

“To all PSJD players, we must work hard and we must have a strong mentality. We must be focussed in our next game (against Mulu),” the team manager concluded.
