PEHIN Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs left for Saudi Arabia yesterday to attend the Haj Management Ministers Meeting 1439 Hijrah and conduct a working visit to Brunei pilgrims accommodation.
Accompanying the minister were Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohamad, Acting Director of Haj Management at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Haji Abdul Nasir bin Haji Bolhassan, Head of Ground Service, Royal Brunei Airlines.
Haji Abdullah said Haj management including acco-mmodation, transportation, facilities and services for the comfort and welfare of pilgrims will be discussed at the meeting.
He added that the meeting will also discuss ways to improve the management of this year’s Haj.
Present to bid farewell to the local delegation were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, Permanent Secretary at MoRA; Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs); Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) as well as directors and heads of divisions at the ministry.
The five-day meeting is organised by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia.
