A PRE-DAWN talk on the straight path of salvation was delivered yesterday at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.
Ustaz Haji Mohd Syahiran bin Haji Mohd Sofian, Dean of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), reminded the congregation that the path is located only through Allah the Almighty’s grace, mercy and guidance.
“Not only will this path secure our success in the Hereafter, but also the prosperity, peace and tranquility of this life as individuals, community members and sovereign subjects,” he said.
Among those present at the talk were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Acting Minister of Religious Affairs.
Also present were Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA); Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs) at the MoRA; and Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA.
Initiated by the MoRA through its Mosque Affairs Department, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Islamic Syiar Development Division, the talk is part of the ‘Masjidku Makmur, Negaraku Berkat’ programme to encourage the presence of more worshippers for mass Subuh prayer at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
