A DOA Kesyukuran ceremony was held by the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) yesterday to mark the 44th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office as the Chairman of the National Disaster Council which took place at the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Mentiri.
Present as the guest of honour at the event yesterday was the Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, as the Deputy Chairman (Permanent) of the National Disaster Council.
The religious ceremony commenced with the Sunnat Hajat prayer followed with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil. It then continued with the mass recital of ‘Dikir Tola’al Badru Alaina’ and Doa Selamat.
The event later concluded with mass Asar prayer.
Also in attendance were members of the Legislative Council, members of the National Disaster Council, senior officers, officers and staff members of the Ministry of Home Affairs and departments under it.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and departments under it also held a Doa Kesyukuran last Monday, in conjunction with the 44th birthday celebration of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
The event was attended by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the PMO.
Also present were Datin Dayang Hajah Elinda binti Haji CA Mohamed, Deputy Minister at the PMO; permanent secretaries; deputy permanent secretaries; heads of departments; and senior officers and staff from the PMO and the departments under it.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil led by Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Yassin, Mosque Affairs Officer, and continued with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran.
The event ended with mass Isyak prayer led by Haji Abdul Aziz.
