THE Brunei Maritime Academy (BMA) at the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) recently received an enrolment of nine new cadets for the Diploma in Marine Engineering course at its Jefri Bolkiah Campus (JBC), in Kuala Belait.
Present to welcome them was Suhaimi bin Haji Abdul Wahab, the Head of BMA.
The new recruits for the February intake of 2018 consist of three in-service navy cadets, and six from various marine network companies.
The cadets are on a two-week orientation, which involves meetings with key administrators, instructors and staff members, as well as attending talks and participation in social activities, to ease their transition into the IBTE community.
