BRUNEI Shell Marketing Co Sdn Bhd (BSM) yesterday officially concluded the first phase of its ‘#BeliHelix’ promotion with the grand draw being held at Times Square Shopping Centre in Berakas.
One of the grand draw winners, self-employed 49-year-old Junaidah binti Abdullah from RPN Kampong Mentiri, drove away with a brand new BMW 118i after successfully navigating past two eliminating rounds and then the final round after choosing the right key to the grand prize.
Speaking to the Bulletin, Junaidah, who earns her living by selling Malay kueh at home, expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the organiser.
“I never expected to win the grand prize but I have and now I own this beautiful luxury vehicle,” said Junaidah, whose stroke of luck seems even more miraculous considering the fact that she only purchased Shell Helix products on two occasions during the promotion period.
The draw’s first runner-up, Izzah Hazwanah Harun, meanwhile, will travel to Dubai on a tour package for two persons, while second runner-up Mohamad Daud bin Taha won a B$2,500 cash card.
Consolation prizes were won by Nur Musaddad bin Hadanan, taking home with him a Samsung 55’’ Smart LED TV, while Ling Wah Hwang won a 13.3″ Macbook Air.
All five winners also each received a 4L bottle of Shell Helix Ultra motor oil.
Presenting the prizes and motor oil to the winners was Pengiran Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, BSM’s Managing Director.
Beginning October 28, 2017 and ending January 31, 2018, the promotion received nearly 20,000 entries.
In appreciation of Shell Helix customers, BSM launched another round of #BeliHelix promotion starting February 8, 2018 and running until April 30, 2018.
For this promotion, Shell Helix customers will be entitled to one entry form for every purchase of 4L of Shell Helix motor oil, which includes Shell Helix Ultra, Shell Helix HX7, and Shell Helix HX5.
Drop boxes for completed entry forms are available at participating BSM authorised distributors, dealers and Retail Stations.
The second #BeliHelix promotion will feature monthly consolation prizes such as air tickets, latest gadgets, and electrical appliances, with the grand prize being one unit of the latest Nissan X-Trail.
The first runner-up winner will receive a Hong Kong Travel Package for two, while the second runner-up will receive a B$2,500 cash card. Consolation prizes will also be available as per the first promotion.
