EVERY department, division and unit under the Ministry of Development (MoD) should strive to ensure that the ministry’s strategic plan is in line with the needs and meets the current challenges of the country while at the same time confirming to Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) concepts.

This was highlighted by Minister of Development Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar during the official launching of the MoD’s Strategic Plan Workshop at the lobby area of the ministry yesterday.

The minister added that the workshop is used to exchange ideas, opinions and views to identify strategic issues in the ministry which will have an impact on the country’s development infrastructure and economy, as well as help achieve the nation’s Vision 2035.

“Strategic planning as a whole should be implemented from time to time so the ministry continues to lead the country’s development infrastructure, not only in the past and today, but also in the future,” he said.

He urged every officer and staff of the MoD to cooperate and work towards ensuring that the Strategic Plan can be applied as a reference point by taking into account the importance of holistic strategic planning in their respective departments, divisions and units.
