A RELIGIOUS lecture was held at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Madang recently, highlighting the role of women in the family institution.
The event was jointly organised by the Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), the Muslimah Affairs at the Department of Mosque Affairs and the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque.
It was held as part of the celebrations for the 34th National Day, and chaired by Azman bin Haji Kassim, an assistant lecturer from KUPU SB.
The panellists comprised Dr Mikdar Rusdi, a Senior Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Usuluddin at KUPU SB; and Irnawati binti Haji Mahir, a Community Development Officer at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Hajah Aisyah Radhiah binti Haji Gani, the Director of the Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre at KUPU SB delivered the welcoming address.
The lecture included the sharing of experiences and tips on family education.
Among the attendees were Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohamad, the spouse of the Minister of Home Affairs, along with 200 female civil employees, uniformed personnel and mosque Muslimah members.
