AJAHRIN bin Mail emerged as champion as he became the recipient of the Best Decorative Flowerhorn Award of the United Flowerhorn Association (UFA), United States and winner of the second series of the Flowerhorn Decorative Fish Competition recently held by the United Flowerhorn Association (UFA) in Kampong Rimba, Gadong.
Coming in second was Pengiran Mohd Kamarul Nor Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Jasni. Pengiran Haji Mohd Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Ismail came in third.
Prizes and certificates of participation were presented by Shahrin bin Mail, King Mix Administrator.
Also present at the event was Pengiran Abdul Haadi bin Pengiran Haji Zohaini, Brunei Darussalam’s UFA Speaker.
The competition was organised by King Mix Association Brunei in collaboration with the UFA Brunei.
Twenty flowerhorn ornamental fishes from Tutong, Belait and Brunei-Muara districts participated in the three-day competition. The competition was aimed at promoting flowerhorn as a hobby as well as educating members of the public on the methods of caring for and grooming flowerhorn fishes.
Flowerhorns are ornamental aquarium fishes noted for their vivid colourations and their distinctive bulb-shaped heads.
