YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School celebrated the country’s 34th National Day yesterday.
The grandchildren of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Hafeez bin Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Raihaanah Hanaa-Ul Bolqiah binti Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil were present at the event.
Present as the guest of ho-nour was Cikgu Noorhaizamdin bin Haji Mohd Mosbi, Chief Executive Officer of YSHHB School.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa of Hari Kebangsaan by Ustaz Noohashim bin Kassim followed by a speech by Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi, the Headmistress of YSHHB Primary School.
Mini flags were distributed to class representatives followed by the reading of National Day Oath by a student.
Students participated in a march-past followed by the reading of Patriotic Poetry and Takbir ‘Allahu Akbar.
Meanwhile, a similar event was held for 559 students of Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (TASKA YSHHB) who also celebrated the 34th National Day yesterday.
Present at the event was Pengiran Anak ’Alisha Husnara Jaida Bulqiah binti Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul ‘Ali Yil-Kabier, the granddaughter of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
