QAF Auto Sdn Bhd, the sole importer of BMW in Brunei Darussalam, yesterday hosted the official delivery of the all-new BMW 5 Series to the Deputy Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, Rooge Thammongkol by the CEO of QAF Group, Albert Lau.
Dubbed the business athlete – the all-new seventh-generation BMW 5 Series builds on the bespoke character of the previous model and it is only fitting that it is enhanced from both an aesthetic and functionality perspective. With its dynamic driving style and simultaneously elegant appearance, the all-new BMW 5 Series is the epitome of the ultimate business sedan.
Every BMW pushes at the frontiers of technology and innovation. The all-new BMW 5 Series combines state-of-the-art driving assistance systems, an unmatched degree of connectivity and convenience, and extensive use of the most modern aluminium alloys to create an experience that re-defines the capabilities of this class of vehicle.
The embassy car is equipped with parking assistant plus, navigation system professional, BMW gesture control and multifunctional instrument display. A high-resolution 10.25-inch screen, actuated by the rotary controller of the latest-generation iDrive system, gives clear and easy visual access to all of the car’s features.
One of the most impressive features in the car is the optional BMW Display Key, carried over from the BMW 7 Series, which puts even more smart in your pocket. This incredible piece of tech – essentially a remote control and touchscreen in one – actually allows you to manoeuvre into tight and inaccessible parking spaces while standing outside the vehicle. You can also check how many kilometres until the next fill up on the display key and also actuate the heating and cooling of the cabin.
Aluminium and aluminium alloys are used extensively in the all-new BMW 5 Series chassis, making it lighter and stiffer than its predecessor. Combined with near perfect weight distribution, it creates a responsive dynamic drive, making the all-new BMW 5 Series a class leader.
QAF Auto has established its reputation in becoming the official transportation partner for some of the major events in Brunei such as APEC in 2000, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 64th birthday celebration in 2010, Brunei International Defence Exhibition (BRIDEX) 2009, 2011 and 2013, 23rd Asean Summit 2013 and recently, the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne.
