PEHIN Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs yesterday received a courtesy visit from Amphay Kindavong, outgoing Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Brunei Darussalam at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
During the visit, both parties expressed appreciation for the existing close ties between the two countries and exchanged views on current issues and matters of mutual interest.
Also present were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA; and Roslan bin Haji Taja‘ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs) at the MoRA.
Amphay Kindavong presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on September 13, 2014.
