ALUMNI Association of the Ship For Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme International Brunei (BERSATU) in collaboration with Pusat Bahagia in the Brunei-Muara District recently organised a Buy 1 Donate 1 project where people have the opportunity to buy a pair of clothes – one for the buyer and the other to be donated to students and trainees of Pusat Bahagia.
The guest of honour, representing the Community Development Department (JAPEM), was Acting Assistant Director of the People with Different Abilities (OKU) Service Division, Irnawati binti Haji Mahir.
Deputy Secretary General of BERSATU, Haji Muhammad Iqbal Fakri bin Haji Damit, said the collaboration was a testament to the support provided by government agencies and youth associations in assisting the underprivileged, especially People with Different Abilities.
Donations totalling BND560, raised from the proceeds of the Buy 1 Donate 1 project, were presented to People with Different Abilities Training Centre, Kelas Bimbingan Kanak-Kanak Kelainan Upaya and to the Rover Scouts from Pusat Bahagia, 1025th Scout Troop.
