GLORIA Jean’s Coffee has branched out further in the Sultanate, with the opening of its outlet at Annajat Complex in Jalan Gadong yesterday.
The guest of honour was the High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam Nicola Rosenblum.
Also present were the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Datuk Ghulam Jelani bin Khanizaman; Director of Gloria Jean’s Coffee Brunei Lt Col (Rtd) Haji Afflon bin Dato Haji Hamidon; Chairman of Malaysia International Franchise Asdn Bhd Dato’ Azmi bin Mohd Ali; and Chief Executive Officer of Gloria Jean’s Coffee Jamil Busrah.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by opening remarks by the Director of Gloria Jean’s Coffee Brunei, as well as a speech by the Chairman of Malaysia International Franchise Sdn Bhd.
A certificate presentation ceremony was also held for Gloria Jean’s Coffee baristas who have served coffee under the franchise in Brunei, as well as for Outstanding Performance.
The event proceeded with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the guest of honour together with the High Commissioner of Malaysia, the Director of Gloria Jean’s Coffee Brunei, the Chairman of Malaysia International Franchise Sdn Bhd, and the Chief Executive Officer of Gloria Jean’s Coffee.
