TWENTY-ONE students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) left for India to participate in the ASEAN-India Students’ Exchange Programme from May 1-11.
This is the second batch of students visiting India in 2018 under this programme. The first batch of ASEAN students in the exchange programme took place in January 2018.
The students were seen off at the Brunei International Airport by Amir Chand, First Secretary at the High Commission of India in Brunei Darussalam.
The students will tour Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Agra.
In Mumbai, they will visit Elephanta Caves, Godrej Industries, Reliance Industries, National Stock Exchange, Film Institute, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
In Pune, they will visit Symbiosis International University, Tata Motors’ plant, and SKF Motors’ plant.
In New Delhi, they will be taken to the National Art Gallery, factory visits, interaction with the Election Commissioner of India, visit embassies, Humayun’s Tomb, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Amity University and Delhi Haat.
In Agra, they will visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
The programme is part of the annual ASEAN-India Students’ Exchange Programme coordinated in India by Confederation of the Indian Industry (CII), New Delhi.
