THE 13th Sembilang Exercise involving the Marine Police branch of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ended Friday with a closing ceremony held at the Navy Training Centre in Muara.

RBPF Acting Director of Operations Senior Superintendent of Police Haji Chipli bin Haji Mohammad attended as the guest of honour.

RBN Armada Staff Acting Head Commander Mohammad Azrin bin Haji Mohammad was also in attendance.

The ceremony began with a brief post exercise report delivered by RBN Training Coordinator Officer Lieutenant Nazurah binti Haji Mahaleh, followed by the signing of the report by Commander Task Group (CTG) and Deputy Commander Task Group (DCTG) Lieutenant Commander Ade Roddiane bin Haji Mohamad Rosdi and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pengiran Haji Muhaimin bin Pengiran Haji Mustapha.

Activities during the exercise included friendly football and volleyball matches, as well as a tug-of-war competition, which was won by the Marine Police.

The exercise’s objectives were for the RBPF and RBN to exchange ideas, experience and knowledge.

The exercises have been successful in strengthening the friendship between the organisations, with both parties hoping it will contribute to preventing illegal marine activities.
