Baiduri Bank continues improving quality standards

BAIDURI Bank, Brunei’s leading conventional bank yesterday announced that its Operations Management Division (OMD) and Diversification & Strategic Development (DSD) have received the ISO 9001:2015 (latest edition) certification for quality management system (QMS) in a certificate presentation ceremony yesterday.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification validates Baiduri Bank’s continuous efforts towards improving its quality standards and successfully implementing the best practices in line with the bank’s vision.

According to Deputy General Manager of OMD and DSD Andrew Young, “Acquiring the ISO 9001:2015 certification shows our commitment to a high level of quality services that we provide to our customers. This model is based on the total customer satisfaction concepts that we envisage. The three key principles which underpin our organisational development are models, frameworks and standards, and our model is designed to provide a 360 view of the customer service we are rendering.”

The departments that are now ISO 9001:2015 certified in quality management system are Global Payment Services, Group Electronic Banking and Trade Services, Group Credit Documentation Services, Operations Process and Service Management, Card Centre Operations, Property Department, Security Control Department, Business Continuity Planning Unit and Diversification and Strategic Development.

The presentation of the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to OMD&DSD of Baiduri Bank was held at the Mutiara Ballroom, Radisson Hotel. Presenting the certificate to Pierre Imhof, CEO of Baiduri Bank was Nicholas Cheong, Head of Operations of BSI (British Standard Institution) Malaysia.

The guest of honour was Managing Director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman. Embassy and government officials, bank customers, lawyers and other bank service providers were also present.

The ISO 9001:2015 is based on quality management principles that organisations use to improve their performance. This certification is considered to be the world’s most coveted quality recognition standard and is dedicated to improving the performance of organisations globally.
