The Pesta Sukan Ria will be headed by Lt Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Rambli bin Pengiran Haji Bunut as chairman of the event.
“This is the first time that it will be held by MKOKU. Through this we aim to continue strengthen relations among family and children of MKOKU,” said Pengiran Rambli during a press conference.
“This is an important day for us all, mainly MKOKU, because we can gather everyone together. It is also held to remind the public that children are not left out, especially in the field of sports,” he further added.
“I believe that through sports, we can unite families. The role of family is very important.”
The meet will be divided into two categories, namely track and field.
Six track and field events will be held to focus on participants’ combination of balance and coordination.
In addition, there will also be a top-spinning (Gasing) event for the Men’s VIP and netball for the Women’s VIP as well as a 50-metre reverse wheelchair race.
The grand finale of the meet will be a tug-of-war event, which will see VIPs attending.
