Fitness Zone’s She Runs 2016 Dream Team yesterday paid tribute to the generous sponsors, supporters, partners, volunteers and individuals who played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the recent all-women event.
The May 15 She Runs 2016 charity run drew the participation of 2,000 people from 16 different countries and raked in $68,000 in donation from the public.
Fitness Zone Managing Director Wu Chun, QAF Group CEO Albert Lau, Brunei Press General Manager Reggie See and representatives of the She Runs sponsors were among those present at the tribute-paying ceremony which was held at Fitness Zone Kiulap.
On hand to accept cheques amounting to $34,000 each were YASKA representative Tsaranawarrah binti Abdullah Chen, and Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam (SOBD) President Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni.
“She Runs got better and got lots of supporters this year,” Wu Chun said in a press statement.

“Our sponsors, supporters and partners are strong pillars that helped bring our She Runs Magical Dream Team to life * to change lives, not only through fitness but through community work.
“We are really grateful to have these supporters to back us up for this good cause, and we hope they will be with us for the She Runs 2017 and other She Runs events.”
Tzyy Wei, a spokesperson and cancer survivor from YASKA, said, “I really appreciate having Fitness Zone support to YASKA’s cause. Hope we will have many more years of adventure ahead with Fitness Zone, and thank you so much for supporting us.”
Fitness Zone also thanked other sponsors that participated in the second She Runs charity event, including title sponsor BMW, event supporters D’ Sunlit and The Mall Cineplex, event managing partner Armtrix, exclusive print media partner Brunei Press, official airline Royal Brunei Airlines, official radio station KFM, as well as event sponsors Under Amour, The Body Shop, Purity, Revive, RedBull, Quaker Oats, Bake Culture, WoMen Hair, The Energy Kitchen, TANITA, ZEN Spa, and volunteers from Heartland, Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD), SOBD, Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam and International Women’s Club of Brunei.
