THE Faculty of Economy and Islamic Finance (FEKIm) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) recently held its fourth ‘Ziarah Mahabbah’ (PZM IV) programme in the Tutong District, in collaboration with the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Government Relations and Special Projects Division.
Eighty-three FEKIm undergraduates participated in the community service project along with 16 officers from the Estate and Information Technology Centre at UNISSA.
This year, 10 recipient families were selected from Kampong Bukit Udal, Kampong Sebakit, Kampong Penapar and Kampong Lubok Pulau in Mukim Tanjong Maya.
During a handover of donations at the Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam Mosque in Tutong, Muhammad Hanafi bin Baha, a Year 3 FEKIm undergraduate student and the co-chairman of PZM IV, said that the programme made them more aware of their responsibilities as members of the community.
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was also present during the event, to give away prizes to selected families under the PZM IV programme.
