A PRESS conference for the ‘Strengthening Syakhsiah for Future Graduates of Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) 2018’ programme was held yesterday at the college university’s Taqwa Room.
The conference was chaired by Director of Core Knowledge Centre of KUPU SB, Dr Haji Noralizam binti Haji Aliakbar, who highlighted that the programme will be participated by 259 of the college’s future graduates.
The three-day programme, which begins today, will consist of various activities such as workshops, talks, Tazkirah and reading of Zikir to strengthen syakhsiah among the would-be graduates once they make the full transition as educators.
“Among the activities which will be carried out include recitation of Tasmie’ verses of Al-Quran, Tahsin Amali including Surah, demonstration of the appropriate ways of performing prayers, as well as briefing on entrepreneurs and Islamic finance.
“All these meant to open the students’ mindsets and challenge them to get involved in entrepreneurship,” Dr Haji Noralizam explained further.
He added that the students will be staying at the residential college for the duration of programme, where activities such as breaking of fast, Qiamullail, Sunnat Tarawikh prayers and Tedarus as well as Sahur will be held in the evenings.
The programme additionally aims to create responsible, competent students imbued with high intellectual and leadership characteristics and a strong teamwork spirit.
