THE Setia Ali Mosque in Pekan Muara recently carried out activities to ensure greater comfort for congregants when performing religious acts this Ramadhan.
The Setia Ali Mosque Takmir committee held a cleaning campaign, targeting both the inside and outside of the mosque. Personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy, Forest Ranger RU-C branch, Marine Police, Muara Police Station joined Muslimah and youth groups as well as village residents in the clean-up.
The Setia Ali Mosque also received food donations from Haji Adanan bin Haji Abdul Kadir for the breaking of fast, 18 Al-Quran stands from Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Yusof, as well as 54 drink packets from Shaikh Haji Hanafiyah bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad and Hajah Sharifah Fatmah binti Shaikh Haji Ahmad for Tedarus Al-Quran throughout Ramadhan. Twenty-four rugs and chairs were also contributed by Syarikat Alimen Enterprise and eight individuals.
Imam Rosli bin Haji Ladis received the contribution.
A Tahlil ceremony was also held at the mosque.
Legislative Council member cum Village Head of Kampong Masjid Lama, Pekan Muara, Sabun and Pelumpong YB Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman; Penghulu Mukim Serasa Major (Rtd) Haji Johari bin Haji Abd Razak; Setia Ali Mosque Affairs Officer Nasehin bin Yahya; Takmir committee, Muslimah groups, youth groups and village residents attended the Tahlil ceremony.
