THE Tutong Police Station and members of the Kampong Danau Neighbourhood Watch yesterday conducted a crime prevention patrol targetting the surrounding areas of Kampong Keramut, Danau Beach and Kampong Danau jetty.
Corporal 5250 Md Fadillah led five police personnel, Kampong Danau Acting Village Head Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohd Tahir and seven Neighbourhood Watch members in the patrol from 1am to 3am.
Prior to setting off, a Doa Selamat was read, and a briefing was held to discuss the targetted areas.
The patrol is expected to raise awareness among residents on the importance of maintaining safety and the need to cooperate with the police to achieve this goal.
Meanwhile, Neighbourhood Watch members and Kuala Belait Police Station personnel recently held a meeting with Kampong Pandan ‘C’ Village Head Haji Affendy bin Awang Damit.
Corporal 3028 Md Jin and two police personnel led the group.
The Tutong Police Station also carried out a meeting with Kampong Telisai Neighbourhood Watch member Azman bin Haji Ismail, in his capacity as the Secretary of the Neighbourhood Watch group.
Corporal 4899 Noraziah binti Kunchil and two police personnel led the group.
The Temburong Police Station also held a similar meeting with Kampong Semabat Village Head Ambil anak Bakit.
Among the topics of discussion were Neighbourhood Watch activities, and information sharing on village affairs.
The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) hoped such meetings will further enhance the public’s understanding of maintaining peace and harmony of a village, and forge closer ties among residents.
