PMO organises Tedarus ceremony

THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments continued their series of Tedarus to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan at the Kampong Serdang Mosque in Mukim Kota Batu.

Present were Minister at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, senior officials from the ministry including the auditor general, permanent secretaries, the deputy commissioner of police, heads of departments as well as senior officers and personnel.

The event began with the presentation of Waqaf which includes air conditioners, a vacuum cleaner and a photocopy machine, presented by the minister to the Imam of Kampong Serdang Mosque.

The ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of verses of Al-Quran starting from Juzuk 21.

The congregation then held a Tahlil, Doa Arwah and Doa Selamat.

The event concluded with the breaking of the fast and a mass Maghrib prayer. The event will continue with a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony on the 12th of Ramadhan, 1439 Hijrah at the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.

The event was jointly organised with the cooperation from the Kampong Serdang Mosque Takmir Committee by Security and Enforcement Division at the PMO; Media and Cabinet Division at the PMO; Narcotics Control Bureau; Anti-Corruption Bureau; Internal Security Department; Department of the Councils of State; Radio Television Brunei; Information Department; Royal Brunei Police Force; Government Printing Department; E-Government National Centre; and Brunei Research Department.
