MINISTER of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman hosted a Tedarus and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at his residence in Kampong Sungai Besar on Friday.
Present were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs) Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah; and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang. Also present were senior officers at MoRA as well as Takmir committee from nearby mosques.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by the minister followed by the recitation of Tedarus by the participants and Takhtim led by mosque affairs officers.
The Doa Khatam was read by Mosque Affairs Officer at MoRA Awangku Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Selahuddin.
Awangku Ahmad Faris also led the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah.
The religious event concluded with Iftar and a mass Maghrib prayer.
