THIRTY Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) students visited the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei EDGE Centre in Kampong Mata-Mata recently.

They were welcomed by President of SMARTER Brunei Malai Haji Abdullah bin Malai Haji Othman and staff.

Malai Haji Abdullah briefed them on the aims, objectives and functions of the centre.

The visitors also toured the centre.

The visitors comprised international students from engineering, computing and business degree courses at UTB.

Some students were from Cameroon, Gambia and the Republic of Laos.

The educational visit aimed to help raise awareness on the issues of autism, and hoped to encourage more volunteerism and community work to help people with autism in the country.
