THE Kampong Kapok Village Consultative Council (MPK Kg Kapok) yesterday organised a mass Tahlil ceremony and a presentation of donations for orphaned children and the Mosque Construction Fund.
The guest of honour was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof.
The residents raised BND6,210 for 15 orphans in the village and BND1,000 for the Mosque Construction Fund.
Village Head of Kampong Kapok Haji Marali bin Ahmad thanked the residents for their generosity, and noted the main objective was to forge stronger ties among their community in the spirit of Ramadhan.
