THE Brunei National Road Safety Council (BNRSC) urged members of the public to refrain from driving if they are tired or in a state of drowsiness in the interest of road safety.
The advisory, made during the mass Sunnat Hajat prayer and recitation of Ratib Al-Attas ceremony on May 24 at the Sufri Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Perpindahan Berakas, additionally called for motorists to exercise extreme care and caution while on the road, and to always be alert when behind the wheel.
Drivers should also strictly adhere to the road regulations to ensure personal safety and the safety of other road users. When in a moving vehicle, drivers and passengers should always ensure they have their seatbelts fastened to avoid serious injury or even loss of life.
