THIRTY underprivileged families from the Brunei-Muara District received donations during the last phases of the Jalinan Kasih Belia 2.0 programme yesterday.
The programme, organised by the Transformational Youth Community Club (KKBT), was conducted throughout May and included activities such as biscuit making, charity work and hamper wrapping.
Guest of honour Acting Director of Youth and Sports Haji Zafri bin Haji Mohamed presented hampers to the heads of volunteer teams to be distributed among recipients. He also presented certificates to chefs and other sponsors.
The programme aimed to strengthen ties among participants.
Volunteers were eager to provide assistance to the underprivileged families to feel cheers of the Eid celebration.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Youth and Sports Department initiated the programme.
