THE highly anticipated festive film, Hari Minggu Yang Ke-Empat (HMYK4) premiered at The Empire Cineplex of The Empire Hotel & Country Club yesterday night.
Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Rashid bin Pengiran Kerma Raja Pengiran Haji Kamarulzaman, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Abdul Haffiz bin Pengiran Sura Negara Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Bey Muntassir and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hajah Nurul Amal Munjiatul Athirah binti Pengi-ran Sura Negara Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Bey Muntassir were present to grace the event.
Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali; High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam Major General (Rtd) Tariq Rashid Khan; High Commissioner of Australia to Brunei Darussalam Nicola Rosenblum; and official partners, sponsors and the cast of HMYK4 as well as distinguished guests were also present in show of support.
Prior to the screening, Director of HMYK4 Siti Kamaluddin said that making the movie was challenging, but was quick to point out that it will hopefully pave the way for more sustainable filmmaking in Brunei Darussalam.
“HMYK4 took only three months from development to completion. But we hope that this will lead to more feature films produced in Brunei Darussalam,” she added.
She also shared her sincere gratitude to the sponsors who made this film possible.
The event progressed with the first screening of HMYK4 prior to its release tomorrow.
