MORE than 3,000 Korean tourists visited Brunei Darussalam from January to June 12, . To further boost the interest of Korean tourists to Brunei, Sinar Tour facilitated and organised tourism marketing initiative at the Hana Tour Travel Show in South Korea.
The Hana tour travel show is the largest travel show in South Korea and is held at the Kintex Exhibition Center.
The show is leading the culture and tourism industry in South Korea, which hosts 120,000 visitors, and achieving on site sales of KRW 22 billion and has an exhibition size of 1,000 booths.
Relevant Brunei agencies that join the travel show include, The Empire Hotel & Country Club, Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre. This is to promote medical tourism in Brunei Darussalam and to further enhance the influx of Korean tourists to the sultanate.
The Brunei booth also includes cultural and popular tourist’s destinations to showcase Brunei as the premier destination in Southeast Asian region. Paintings by veteran artist Haji Osman Muhammad are showcased in the booth.
