A DISTRIBUTION of posters was held yesterday at the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) base in Rimba, where it was announced that the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) 57th anniversary will be celebrated on July 1, at the Penanjong Camp in the Tutong District.

In his opening remarks, Acting Deputy Commander of the RBAirF and Chairman of the 57th RBAF Anniversary Celebration Committee Lieutenant Colonel (U) Abdul Rahman bin Haji Duraman, explained the concept behind the poster design and revealed some of the main highlights of the anniversary celebrations.

Following the speech, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Abdul Rahman received 500 anniversary posters published by the Public Relations Unit (PRU) of the Ministry of Defence (MinDef), from Lieutenant Commander Norharirayati binti Yakub, a spokesperson for the MinDef and Chairperson of the Poster Presentation Ceremony.

The posters were then distributed to the public relations officers and representatives of all government ministries and departments; the representatives of all units under the RBAF; and the Brunei Darussalam Ex-Army Association (PBPNBD).

The distribution is intended as a public announcement regarding the RBAF’s 57th anniversary celebrations, which have been rescheduled out of respect for the holy month of Ramadhan.

The chosen theme for this year’s celebrations is Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara (Accomplishing the National Vision Together).
