SEVENTY-NINE Ministry of Health (MoH) officers and staff received Long Service Medal (PKL) during a presentation ceremony at the MoH Al-‘Afiah Hall yesterday.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with the 71st birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The guest of honour, Minister of Health Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Jaafar presented the medals.
According to a press release, the medals are a mark of recognition and appreciation for their diligence and loyalty at work, and a good record in public service, with 20 years of service.
The press release added that this appreciation is expected to motivate the recipients to give their devotion to the government and the country.
Also present at the event were Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Management) at the MoH Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin; department heads; officers and staff at the ministry.
