MINISTER of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman received a Hari Raya visit from Singapore Senior Minister of State (SMS), Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman yesterday evening.
Dr Mohamad Maliki, who was accompanied by his spouse, Sadiah Shahal, along with a delegation of Singapore officials, also attended the Hari Raya open house at the Istana Nurul Iman yesterday.
Dr Mohamad Maliki’s sixth consecutive visit to Brunei Darussalam for the Aidilfitri festivities is symbolic of the special relation between the two neighbouring Asean member countries.
Accompanied by High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Lim Hong Huai as well as Deputy High Commissioner and Counsellor at the High Commission of Singapore in Brunei Darussalam Raymond Chow, Dr Mohamad Maliki and his delegation – which included Zaqy Mohamad, the Minister of State, Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of National Development – were also received by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and a senior official from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
