ESG Sdn Bhd, a Halliburton company, which is an oil and gas service company based in Seria, in collaboration with Medical Social Work Unit (MWSU), Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Kuala Belait donated basic necessities and goods to underprivileged families during the holy month of Ramadhan recently.
Country Manager for Completions at Halliburton David Mok handed over the donations to more than 40 patients chosen from a list obtained from MWSU in a charity drive at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital conference hall.
Medical Social Work Officer of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Hajah Hadzilahwatie binti Haji Abdul Hamid said the charitable efforts by the company was a big blessing to the patients to help achieve holistic care.
The sentiment was shared by David. He explained, “We are happy and proud to give back to society as part of our corporate social responsibility activities. We hope the assistance will help ease the burden of the recipients and bring them festive cheer.”
The recipients also received green packets from Business Development Manager for Halliburton in Brunei, Hing Hie.
Also present at the event was Special Grade Nurse Officer Wee Oi Jock as representative of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital.
