TWO hundred mosque youth members were welcomed by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof in a get-together event at his residence in Kampong Batu Ampar yesterday.
The event was organised by the Mosque Affairs Department’s Youth Unit of the Imarah Section in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities.
The delegation was led by Acting Director of the Mosque Affairs Department Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri.
The event began with a Dikir Marhaban, followed with the Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Brunei Darussalam. Mosque Affairs Officer in Temburong District, Eldie bin Haji Suhaile, recited the Doa Selamat.
The event aimed to instil in the youth a sense of respect towards their leaders, and give them an opportunity to foster closer ties with officers and staff members of the department and ministry.
