Brunei-Muara police hold activities before Ramadhan

BEFORE the start of Ramadhan, a number of police stations under the Brunei-Muara District took part in various activities with members of the Neighbourhood Watch.

On May 29, a cleaning campaign took place at the Lintang Muslim cemetery at Kg Batong. In attendance was the Village Head of Kg Batong, Haji Saban bin Lamat, with members of the Neighbourhood Watch, Kg Batong Village Consultative Council and Kg Batong Mosque Takmir committee members and personnel from the Limau Manis Police Station.

Meanwhile on June 2, Inspector Abdul Shahrimin bin Abdul Rahman, the Officer-in-Charge of Limau Manis Police Station, and his personnel attended a Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony at Kg Junjungan Mosque, Mukim Pengkalan Batu. Also present at the ceremony were members of the Kg Junjungan Village Consultative Council as well as villagers and committee members of the mosque Takmir.

On the following day, police personnel from the Kampong Ayer Police Station participated in a cleaning campaign at the Tunjuk Langit Muslim cemetery at Kg Lumapas. The Village Head of Kg Lumapas ‘A’, Haji Mohd Yassin bin Haji Hassan and the Village Head of Kg Lumapas ‘B’, Haji Chuchu bin Haji Serudin attended the event along with villagers and members of the Neighbourhood Watch.

On June 3, the Neighbourhood Watch Unit of Central Police Station hosted a Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony with Neighbourhood Watch members from Kg Dato Gandhi, Kg Sungai Belukut and Kg Sungai Matan under Mukim Kota Batu at Kg Serdang Mosque. Attending the ceremony were Inspector Mohd Faizal Iswandy bin Ali Othman, Acting Officer-in-Charge of Central Police Station with Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Zainal, Village Head of Kg Sungai Matan and members of the Neighbourhood Watch and police personnel.

Last Saturday night, the presentation of letter of appointments for members of the Neighbourhood Watch under Kg Masjid Lama/Pekan Muara/Kg Sabun/Kg Serasa/Pelumpong took place at the Muara Police Station multipurpose hall. Present at the ceremony were Officer-in-Charge of Muara Police Station, Chief Inspector of Police Pengiran Khairul Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Md Salleh and Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Muara Police Station Inspector Nuradiba binti Haji Mohammad.
