THE Ministry of Health (MoH) through the management and Administration Section of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday morning distributed 116 Hari Raya hampers and green packets to the patients of Ward 19, Ward 21, Obstetric Ward and Paediatric Ward (Ward 30 and Acute Paediatric Unit).
Minister of Health Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Jaafar, and spouse, Datin Dr Hajah Noraslinah binti Haji Ramlee, handed over the hampers and green packets.
The minister and spouse were welcomed by the event committee, led by Acting Chief Executive Officer of RIPAS Hospital Saidah binti Haji Wahid.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Religious Education Officer of RIPAS Hospital Ustaz Nor Asilin bin Haji Puting.
The hampers were handed over to 22 patients in Ward 19, 26 patients in Ward 21, 11 patients in Ward 22, 16 patients in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ward 30 and 20 patients in the Paediatric Unit.
Smiles were etched on the faces of patients and family members upon receiving the gifts.
The minister and spouse also spent time chatting with patients and wished them full recovery.
After the distribution of hampers, the event continued with a Hari Raya get-together for the officers and staff members of RIPAS Hospital and invited guests.
Also present during the event were Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, and spouse; deputy permanent secretary; head of departments; officers and staff members from the MoH.
